| | | | | |  | Morad Jasim was born in Erbil (Northern Iraq) in 1983. He studied first and second grades at an Arabic school. After the second grade, he studied at a Turkish school. When he reached the age of 12 years, he and his family moved to Kutahya, Turkey. There he fell in love with craft and art works. Around the age of 13, he started making Iznik designs. Although at his early age he was drawing on white papers, his drawings were greatly appreciated by his father and relatives. | | | | His father is a skilled calligrapher and painter. Morad Jasim was very fortunate to receive tremendous support from many skilled prfoessional people such as his father, and other cini masters. Morad Jasim has also received very special support and help from Mehmet Kocer who happened to be one of the famous cini masters in Turkey and the entire Middle East.
Because of Morad Jasim's art work, he used to receive invitations from many different countries. In June of 2000, when he was 19 years old, he went to Lebanon. He stayed in Beirut for two months. During his stay in Beirut, he also had the opportunity to teach Kutahya and Iznik cini arts to the local artists.
In August of 2001, he went to Jordan to attend an exhibition in Amman, Jordan. He stayed there for two weeks. In April of 2002, he went to Qatar where he joined the art festival and stayed there for two weeks.
In June of 2002, he returned to Jordan to attend another exhibition. He also went to Qatar for one and a half months in July of 2002. In October of 2002, he went to Syria where he stayed for one week for the exhibition.
After these visitations, his business established. Morad Jasim worked in his own projects till 2004. After accepting lead craftsman's and teacher's position, he worked there till the end of 2005. He was also making his own custom designs which lead him to receive many awards and praises from private and government employees of Turkey.
In October of 2005, Morad Jasim, his parents, and his two brothers migrated to reside in the US. Now he has been working in Tucson, AZ to establish his business.
